Ordering repeat prescriptions
PLEASE PLAN AHEAD AND ENSURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEDICATION WELL IN ADVANCE OF HOLIDAY PERIODS, OUR PRESCRIPTION ORDERING SYSTEM WILL TAKE 5 WORKING DAYS ON BANK HOLIDAYS
Please note the Practice cannot accept telephone requests for prescriptions.
You can use any one of the following methods instead:
1) Online prescription service (for patients OVER 16)
The NHS patient services online prescription request service is a simple way for you to order your prescriptions online. All your active repeat prescriptions will be listed and you can select the ones you need to order. Other medication (including expired repeats) can also be requested. There is also space for you to add any comments about your order.
You can sign up for our online prescription service by completing the form linked below and following the instructions:

- Please send your completed form by email to: prescriptions.s70412@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or by post (you can also drop it in our RED postbox outside).
- To sign up for this service you must have your own email address (not shared with another person). Our team will process your registration and send you an e-mail with your log-on details. Please ensure you check your 'Junk E-mail' as well as your 'Inbox' folder.
- Once you have received your confirmation email, you can log on at the following link to order your repeat prescriptions: www.patient-services.co.uk

- What if a patient is UNDER 16?
Prescription requests for PATIENTS UNDER 16 can still be sent to prescriptions.s70412@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
2) Drop your prescription re-order slip into the red box outside the building
3) Order through your pharmacy
Please ensure you have selected a pharmacy for your prescription to be sent to. If you normally re-order with your pharmacy, please contact them for up to date guidance on how to do this.
Please allow 3 working days for your prescription to be processed and check with your selected pharmacy before contacting the practice.
Please note the Practice cannot accept telephone requests for prescriptions. and prescriptions will not be posted from the surgery unless a stamped addressed envelope has been provided.
Please phone the pharmacy in the first instance to check if the prescription has been received.
