What to do if we are closed

Between the hours of 6pm to 8am and at weekends, please call NHS 24 on 111.

 

From 24 March 2020, the practice will be closed everyday between 1 - 2pm. The practice opens at 8am and closes at 6pm. 

We also offer early morning Nurse Appointments daily from 7:10-8:30am

If you urgently need to speak to a GP between 1 - 2pm Mon - Fri, please call - 07541 323 703.

  • Local pharmacies will provide you with help and advice on common health problems, minor ailments and questions about medicines. 
  • Opticians have appointments available for dry, red, sore, watery, sticky or itchy eyes, cycsts and conjunctivitis and the necessary equipment for detailed eye examinations. 
  • Sexual Health Services - The Chalmers Centre provides care and advice including emergency contraception.  For appointments and advice call 0131 536 1070 or visit  www.lothiansexualhealth.scot.nhs.uk 

Extended Hours

The Practice offers extended hours surgeries on Mondays/Wednesdays and Thursdays 7.10am -8.30 am

Protected Learning Sessions

The Practice will be closed on selected days throughout the year, from 12.30pm for the whole afternoon. It is important that all Doctors, Nurses and Practice staff receive regular clinical and non-clinical training in protected time to enable the Practice to deliver the best possible care to all its patients. If you need to see a Doctor or get medical advice during this time please telephone NHS 24 on 111 who will be able to help you. We appreciate your understanding.
